Atooi has provided updates on Chicken Wiggle Workshop and Treasurenauts, as well as three unannounced projects.
Writing on his blog, Atooi founder Jools Watsham has provided an update on Chicken Wiggle Workshop, a Nintendo Switch project funded on Kickstarter in 2018, as well as long-term project Treasurenauts.
Chicken Wiggle Workshop was initially planned for release late in 2018, before being moved to a general 2019 release; Watsham says Atooi is now aiming for a Q4 2019 release, owing to the fact that more content is being added to the final game, and that other projects are also being developed alongside it.
One of these projects is Treasurenauts, announced for Nintendo 3DS in 2013 and later moved to Nintendo Switch; development on this is "progressing well" and more will be announced in 2020, ahead of the game's planned release the same year.
Three "secret projects" have also been confirmed, including:
- A retail release, which is due to be released in the next few months and expected to be shown for the first time at E3
- A free-to-play Nintendo Switch Online title which Watsham says he is "immensely proud of" and may follow on other platforms
- A puzzle-adventure game based on a concept created several years ago, which "scratches a new itch" compared to other Atooi games
Atooi is currently hosting a sale of all four of its Nintendo Switch titles - Mutant Mudds Collection, Xeodrifter, Totes the Goat, and Soccer Slammers - all of which are available at 80% off.
