Attack on Titan 2 will receive a massive new content pack in July, featuring the story and characters of the anime's third season.
Attack on Titan 2 features content based on the first and second seasons of the hit animation, and from 5 July will feature content from the most recent, which debuted in Japan last summer.
Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle will feature a number of new playable characters introduced in the third season, taking the total number of playable characters beyond 40, and will also include two new gameplay modes.
The first new mode to be announced is the new Territory Recovery Mode, which lets players create their own corps, assign a commander to it, prepare for battle by preparing equipment and interacting with allies, and take the battle outside humanity's walls to reclaim lost land.
In addition, a new weapon called the Thunder Spear will be added to the game, allowing players to tackle tougher enemies such as the Armored Titan.
Owners of the original Attack on Titan 2 will be able to purchase Final Battle as an upgrade pack, while new players will have the option to get both the base game and the upgrade pack in an upcoming bundle.
