6 May 2019 – by Jack Dawson Taylor
The original Devil May Cry, first released for the PlayStation 2 in 2001, will be released for Nintendo Switch this summer.
Announcing the news on Twitter, the Devil May Cry team confirmed the summer release for Devil May Cry, the latest of Capcom's classic reissues for Nintendo Switch - and the first Devil May Cry game to launch for a Nintendo system.
Devil May Cry is a hack-and-slash adventure which follows the demon hunter Dante, who seeks revenge on demons after the deaths of his mother and brother, eventually starting on a quest to defeat the demon lord Mundus.
Though not released as a standalone title on PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4, it is available on both platforms as part of the Devil May Cry HD Collection alongside its two sequels.
