Nintendo has revealed Nintendo Switch Lite, a smaller, handheld-only version of the flagship Nintendo Switch system.
Following months of rumours about new Nintendo Switch hardware, Nintendo has finally lifted the lid on Nintendo Switch Lite, a smaller, cheaper variant that focuses exclusively on handheld play.
The system is a single contained unit with integrated controls, including a new D-Pad, and strips away the kickstand and TV video output; it features a 5.5-inch screen with 720p visuals and can wirelessly connect to Nintendo Switch controllers, including Joy-Con, for local multiplayer.
Three different colour options - grey, yellow, and turquoise - will launch on 20 September, while a Zacian & Zamazenta Edition will follow on 8 November, featuring the Legendary Pokémon from Pokémon Sword and Shield.
In North America, the system will retail for $199.99 - $100 less than the flagship console - while it will cost £199.99 in the United Kingdom, down from the £279.99 of the flagship system.
