Square Enix has announced delays for two of its biggest upcoming titles, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Marvel's Avengers.
In separate blog posts by the games' development teams, Final Fantasy VII Remake has been given a 10 April release date - a delay of about five weeks - while Marvel's Avengers has been pushed back almost four months, to 4 September.
Final Fantasy VII Remake producer Yoshinori Kitase said the development team wanted to "give ourselves a few extra weeks" in order to deliver "the best possible experience" and apologised for the delay.
Meanwhile, Crystal Dynamics confirmed that their extra time on Marvel's Avengers would be spent fine-tuning and polishing the game "to the high standards our fans expect and deserve."
